A British conman who featured in a Netflix documentary has been sentenced to 6 years in jail by a French courtroom for intentionally ramming two French law enforcement officials along with his automotive as he tried a getaway.

Robert Hendy-Freegard, 53, nicknamed the Puppet Master due to his profession as a serial swindler, made his escape after injuring the gendarmes at his house within the Creuse, in central France.
