An 18-year-old man has denied the homicide of a father-of-seven.
Colin Richards, 48, died within the Ely space of Cardiff on Sunday 7 April final 12 months, after he was discovered unconscious in Snowden Road.
Corey Gauci, 18, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday, the place he entered not responsible pleas to costs of homicide and violent dysfunction.
Mr Richards, from the Grangetown space of town, was a “much-loved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and an all-round family man”, based on his household.
In a tribute launched on the time of his dying, they added: “He leaves behind seven youngsters who will miss him enormously as he was very energetic of their lives.
“Though the loss is deep, the power of love and friendship will always stay alive. He will always be in our minds and forever in our hearts.”

Police say Mr Richards’s household are being supported by specially-trained household liaison officers.
Gauci is because of stand trial on 4 March.
