A mum of four was killed in front of her children in a freak lightning strike that crashed down on her house the day before her birthday.
Rosanna Hashem died after lightning hit her property in Cawdor, a village southwest of Sydney, Australia. The 44-year-old was sitting in her backyard when lightning struck at around 5:30pm on Saturday. The electrical discharge caused a tree to explode close to where she had been sitting and Ms Hashem died when she was hit by a piece of wood shrapnel. She passed away at the scene.
Ms Hashem’s buddy, the Mail reported, was taken to Liverpool Hospital in New South Wales after she sustained accidents from an influence surge from the strike precipitated her cell phone to blow up in her hand.

She is reported to be recovering after the surge partially amputated her finger and fractured her jaw.
NSW Ambulance Inspector David Kynaston stated: “Both ladies had been seated about six metres from a big tree, and this had been struck by a lightning bolt, which accurately precipitated the tree to blow up, sending particles everywhere.

“This is a very traumatic and tragic incident for the family involved but also very confronting for emergency services who attended, both in the knowledge that young children had witnessed the incident but also the injuries sustained by the patients.”
Neighbour Rob Campisi said he experienced the “loudest bang we’ve ever heard”.
He instructed the Daily Telegraph: “The power went out and [I was] in the shed and … I looked outside and saw a big cloud of smoke.”

Mr Campisi said the weather conditions did not seem dangerous enough to require staying inside.
The incident occurred at Ms Hashem’s home where she also ran her Groomery Cat Grooming Services business. The business is expected to remain closed until further notice.
On a GoFundMe web page that has to this point raised the equal of slightly below £3,900, Ms Hashem’s co-worker Jemma Powell stated the late mum was a “beautiful mother of four boys” and a “loving wife”.

She wrote: “Rose was not only the heart and foundation of The Groomery but also a beloved mother of four boys, a devoted wife, a cherished sister, and a dear friend to so many.
“Over the past five years, she and her team poured their hearts into building a warm and trusted community, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void.
“Rose’s care, laughter, and kindness brought people together, creating a family – one that will forever carry her memory forward.”
