However, those dealing with remnants of snow will be facing new challenges soon. Forecasts from AccuWeather indicate yet another storm is poised to move eastward later this week. Communities in parts of the Southeast should prepare for significant rainfall beginning Monday.
Additional accumulations are anticipated within the Appalachian region as well—with areas from St. Louis extending down towards Louisville expecting one to three inches of new snow by Wednesday. Higher elevations could experience even more substantial totals.
This incoming storm promises effects reaching into Northeast regions toward week’s end—the same areas grappling with current snowy conditions will need preparation once again.
“The next system is expected closely after our earlier week’s event and will reach many familiar territories starting Wednesday,” stated AccuWeather Meteorologist Alex Duffus.
The forecast indicates that Chicago through New York can expect mixed precipitation events including both sleet and heavy wet snow leading into Thursday; however locations further north may anticipate only pure snowfall once again.
