The UK authorities has demanded that Apple creates a backdoor in its encrypted cloud service, in a confrontation that challenges the US tech agency’s avowed stance on defending person privateness.

The Washington Post reported on Friday that the Home Office had issued a so-called “technical capability notice” beneath the Investigatory Powers Act (IPA) which requires corporations to help regulation enforcement in offering proof.
